Your Child’s Hospital Stay

If your child is staying overnight stay at ��ؿ�Children’s Hospital, follow these tips to make the trip as seamless as possible. To make admission easier, we'll begin your paperwork ahead of time. We may call you before the child's visit to verify your address, insurance and employer. If you have questions, please call us at 505-272-5437.

Tips for Parents

We recommend that you call your insurance for an estimate of your copays, deductibles and coverage. Your pediatrician can tell you which procedures your child needs.
Please arrive early to find parking.
Bring your insurance card, photo identification and any referral and/or authorization forms your insurance provider may require
Pack an overnight bag for your child and yourself—we allow up to one overnight guest per patient on our in-room pullout couches.

Once your child’s hospital doctor gives the okay, your child can go home. The doctor will talk to your family about at-home care, medications and follow-up care.
